Matt grew up on a Poultry, Swine, Corn, Soybeans, and Wheat farm. He later obtained a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University in Agribusiness and Applied Economics and a minor in Computer Information Science. He spent 6 weeks in Brazil studying at Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, Piracicaba, Brazil, and touring various agricultural operations. After college, Matt was an Environmental, Health, Safety, and Transportation professional for Ag Companies. He has over 25 years of professional agronomy experience.

Matt now farms full-time with his father and resides outside of Columbus Grove, Ohio. He and his wife Lisa are proud parents of 4, who enjoy all things cattle, 4-H, and camping.
